The Autism Program Home

The Autism Program at The Wilder School provides life skills services for autistic students in grade 6 through age 22. Using a neuro-affirming philosophy, this program strives to offer students opportunities to develop functional academic, vocational, communication and ADL skills to prepare for post-secondary life. 

The team includes Licensed Special Education teachers, a Speech-Language Pathologist, an Occupational Therapist, a Physical Therapist and Paraprofessional support staff. They provide individual, small group and consultation services both in school and the community, to help their students generalize and maintain their skills in all environments.

The program supports students and families with all transitions, whether to a less restrictive setting such as back to their sending school, to another collaborative/alternative placement, or to adult services.
